Practice

Baylee G. Guers joined Cooney, Scully and Dowling in 2023. She practices in the areas of not-for-profit and for-profit corporate law, real estate, zoning, probate, and probate litigation.

Professional Experience

While attending law school, Ms. Guers was employed by Western New England University in its College of Engineering. She also worked for the Springfield Police Department in Massachusetts in their Body Camera Unit. While there, Ms. Guers worked as a Body Worn Camera Analyst, helping to ensure that video footage released to the public was in compliance with the Massachusetts Public Records Laws.

Professional and Civic Activities

Ms. Guers maintained full-time employment throughout the duration of her law school career. She attended law school at Western New England University School of Law in their part-time evening program. While in law school, Ms. Guers studied a wide range of transactional law topics by taking courses with a focus on real estate and estate planning.

Ms. Guers graduated law school Cum Laude in 2023 ranking in the top 10 of her class. Upon graduating, she was awarded the Edward F. McBride Award for being the student who made the most academic advances from her first year of law school to her last. In her first year of law school, she was awarded the Best Oral Advocate Award following her oral argument in her first-year legal writing course. Throughout law school, she was also awarded several distinguished CALI Excellence for the Future Awards, including in the study of Property, Contracts, First Amendment Rights, Law & Religion, and Real Estate Survey.
